my secret favorite show

Hello people!

What an insane practice I had today! I had Billy over on the drums, and we switched off wit his friend kevin on drums! We did 4 hours straight of jamming/going through the official Bad Mics set list. We almost video taped it, but we were too lazy! The audio would have been bad anyways.

I am also working on a new song, sometimes writing songs can be very tedious, unless it's a ballad, which I can write all day long! We will be praciticing again this week! Very productive day for good old matty. Now it is time for me to make myself some eggs! I am seriously very tired! Very tired indeed. I hope I can wake up early enough to catch my favorite show tomorrow, the Lucy Show! It's on at 8:30


I caught the end of this mornings episode, Joan Crawford was the guest. I could have kicked myself for over sleeping. But you know what they say, the early bird gets to watch cool tv!

Some people may be aware that a group I perform in, the Ill Itches, will be having a record release this Friday at the Marble bar here in Detroit. The band has done several interviews where the interviewer emails the band questions and we each answer them. In one such interview, all of my answers were omitted, and I heard from the other band members the music journalist got mad because I didn't take the interview seriously enough. That time I bought a Guitar for $1 at Guitar Center

When I had just graduated high school, I was still working my job at a grocery store. I made enough money to go guitar shopping. I used to drive from rural Lenawee county to Toledo OH to get to Guitar Center. One day I heard a radio ad for a Guitar Center Labor Day Sale on September 5th, 2005. At this point in my life, Guitar Center was something I had only recently discovered. This ad was extra special... the loud demanding voice on the radio ad claimed Guitar Center was going to be selling guitars for just $1! The night before the sale, I drove down to the Guitar Center and arrived at about 10:30 pm. I began waiting at the front door of the business. I remember texting some of my friends from the grocery store I worked at, they ended up joining me about an hour later. Then, two other small town guys that went to my high school showed up randomly.
