Christmas Spectacular Show--- december 17th

Hello people,

Last night's gig went very well indeed. I was tempted to do a doogie Howser and blog about it when I finally got home around 4 am (I got lost). Avery nice gentleman named Dean bought the whole Bad Mics band, two rounds of drinks, and a very fine gentleman named James bought me one as well. So, I didn't exactly stick to the no alcohol plan I outlined hours before the gig. I am sorry if I disapointed you.

Unfortunatley I have to alert everyone to some bad news. As you know, my cat phoofie wasn't invited to perform at the Mods in Toyland Christmas Spectacular on December 17th. He was so dissapointed that he took a shit in the computer room, and I have been looking for the shit for days, but I can't find it. I have a scented candle burning right now.

His act was tiled, "Happy Holidays from Phoofie the Kristmas Kat!", but the organizer of the event, Marke Boone was a regular old scrooge and wouldn't let him perform. You can still check out the band though!

Some people may be aware that a group I perform in, the Ill Itches, will be having a record release this Friday at the Marble bar here in Detroit. The band has done several interviews where the interviewer emails the band questions and we each answer them. In one such interview, all of my answers were omitted, and I heard from the other band members the music journalist got mad because I didn't take the interview seriously enough. That time I bought a Guitar for $1 at Guitar Center

When I had just graduated high school, I was still working my job at a grocery store. I made enough money to go guitar shopping. I used to drive from rural Lenawee county to Toledo OH to get to Guitar Center. One day I heard a radio ad for a Guitar Center Labor Day Sale on September 5th, 2005. At this point in my life, Guitar Center was something I had only recently discovered. This ad was extra special... the loud demanding voice on the radio ad claimed Guitar Center was going to be selling guitars for just $1! The night before the sale, I drove down to the Guitar Center and arrived at about 10:30 pm. I began waiting at the front door of the business. I remember texting some of my friends from the grocery store I worked at, they ended up joining me about an hour later. Then, two other small town guys that went to my high school showed up randomly.
