show with Hit Society, December 3rd, and other business!

Well today might be a good day for good ald Matty! It turns out I will be most liekly hanging out with a very good old friend, former musicial associate, Walter P!!!!!! It should be very fun!

Today my sister and I will be taking some pictures for our Christmas show DECEMBER 17TH at the Tap Room in downtown Ypsilanti. I hope they turn out! Today I have just been playing guitar, as usual, and listening to those tracks I am thinking about releasing to the world. I don't know though. Putting stuff online may hurt the marketability of my career. People often want what they can't have? I don't know, it is weird.

I am also very very excited about our show on DECEMBER 3RD in South Lyon, our auxillary musicians/band will be there. Time to bring the heat. We are playing with the very cool Detroit band Hit Society, like them on the facebook, and like us too if you haven't already! bye

Some people may be aware that a group I perform in, the Ill Itches, will be having a record release this Friday at the Marble bar here in Detroit. The band has done several interviews where the interviewer emails the band questions and we each answer them. In one such interview, all of my answers were omitted, and I heard from the other band members the music journalist got mad because I didn't take the interview seriously enough. That time I bought a Guitar for $1 at Guitar Center

When I had just graduated high school, I was still working my job at a grocery store. I made enough money to go guitar shopping. I used to drive from rural Lenawee county to Toledo OH to get to Guitar Center. One day I heard a radio ad for a Guitar Center Labor Day Sale on September 5th, 2005. At this point in my life, Guitar Center was something I had only recently discovered. This ad was extra special... the loud demanding voice on the radio ad claimed Guitar Center was going to be selling guitars for just $1! The night before the sale, I drove down to the Guitar Center and arrived at about 10:30 pm. I began waiting at the front door of the business. I remember texting some of my friends from the grocery store I worked at, they ended up joining me about an hour later. Then, two other small town guys that went to my high school showed up randomly.
